Understanding Your Text Message Limits and How to Grow Them

Once you’re approved for A2P messaging and ready to start texting your contacts, it’s important to understand your messaging limits and how to manage them effectively.

Step-by-Step: How to Use It

Here’s exactly how to navigate and grow your text message limits.

Step 1: Go to Messaging Limits

• On the bottom-left, click Settings

  

• Then click Phone Numbers

• At the top, select Advanced Settings

  

• Click on Messaging Limit

  

Step 2: View Your Current Limit

If you’re already approved for high volume, you may see:

You can adjust it manually using a slider.

Need more than 20,000/day? Just reach out to support.

Step 3: If You’re Just Starting Out...

You’ll see the Messaging Ramp Progress Card, which includes:

Your Current Level – e.g. Level 2 (250 messages/day)
Locked Levels – Greyed out future levels (e.g., 500, 1000)
Sneak Peek – See what features unlock at higher levels
Action Tip – "Send 250 messages by [date] to unlock Level 3"

Step 4: Complete Your Daily Limit

To move up, you must use all your current daily limit in one day.

Example:

You're on Level 2 = 250 messages/day
You must send all 250 in one day to qualify for Level 3 (500/day)

Once you do:

• Your account will pause for 24 hours (normal step!)

• After that pause, your limit will automatically upgrade to the next level

  

Step 5: Keep Going to Unlock Higher Levels

There are 8 levels total. Once you hit Level 8 (3,000 messages/day) From there, you’ll need to contact your Digital Business Suite admin (Chat Support) if you want to go beyond that.

For Business Owners/Admins

If you manage a team, you’ll see each account’s Messaging Ramp and current limits. This gives you better control and reduces guesswork.
